Missing teeth? You can bridge the gap using dental implants or dentures. Also, you can use dental bridges from Bella Hanono Family Dentistry to restore your appearance and oral functionality. A dental bridge replaces one or more teeth as long as healthy teeth are on either side of the gap.
Like partial dentures, a dental bridge is an excellent solution for missing teeth as long as they are on the same row. The dental bridge comprises artificial teeth (pontics) and crowns on either side of the gap. Dental bridges are supported by healthy teeth (abutments) reinforced with a crown. However, if you don’t have healthy teeth, a dental bridge can be supported by a dental implant.
Dental bridges are made from porcelain material, meaning that your tooth replacement won’t stand out when you open your mouth. Our dental bridges are so natural, making them virtually indistinguishable from the rest of the teeth!
You need at least two appointments with Dr. Bella Hanono to complete the procedure. We evaluate your oral health to ensure you are a perfect candidate for dental bridges in the first appointment. If given the nod, we will prep the adjacent teeth to create room for a crown. We then take your bite impressions and send the models to a dental lab to create your bridge. Before your bridge is ready, we will install a temporary bridge to ensure there is no downtime for missing teeth.
After a few weeks, your bridge will be ready for installation. Dr. Hanono will bond the bridge in place using dental cement. We will make necessary adjustments to your bridge until your bite feels natural. Finally, we will give you maintenance instructions to take optimal care of your bridge and the rest of your teeth.
